PBS Building Certifiers is, as the wording describes, a company which offers a wide range of professional services to private individuals and the Building Construction Industry.
PBS was established in February 1994 and we’ve been non-stop since.
The primary role of PBS Building Certifiers is the Consulting, Assessment and Approval of Building Applications, more commonly known as Private Certification, however extends to include a wide range of Planning advice, inspections, building condition reports and the like where qualified diagnosis and recommendation are necessary. Particularly important where legal issues or disputes are involved.

Will – Managing Director
Will has been with PBS since 2019 and now leads the day-to-day operations of the business as Managing Director. He holds a Bachelor of Construction Management and a Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying from the University of South Australia and is an Accredited Professional Level 1 Building Surveyor.
With extensive experience across residential, commercial and complex developments, Will provides practical advice to clients, builders and designers while working closely with councils and industry professionals to achieve timely and compliant outcomes. He has developed a strong understanding of South Australia’s planning and building approval processes and is committed to delivering responsive, customer-focused service.
Will is passionate about modernising the building certification industry, continually improving PBS’s systems and processes, and ensuring clients receive clear, efficient guidance from the earliest stages of their project through to completion.

Inky – Building Surveyor 
Inky has built his building surveying career with PBS and has developed extensive experience assessing a broad range of residential and commercial projects. As an Accredited Professional Building Level 2, he has a thorough understanding of the National Construction Code and South Australian building legislation, providing practical and timely advice to clients throughout the building approval process.
Known for his approachable nature and attention to detail, Inky works closely with builders, designers and homeowners to deliver efficient, compliant outcomes. He is committed to providing responsive, customer-focused service and helping clients navigate the building certification process with confidence.

Kamil – Building Surveyor
Kamil holds a Bachelor of Construction Management and has developed extensive experience across both the private certification and local government sectors. After beginning his career with PBS, he expanded his experience through roles in local government and several respected private building surveying consultancies before returning to the PBS team. This diverse background provides him with a well-rounded understanding of South Australia’s building regulatory framework.
As an Accredited Professional Level 2 Building Surveyor, Kamil undertakes a wide range of residential and commercial building assessments and is committed to delivering practical, timely, and customer-focused advice. His collaborative approach and thorough knowledge of the National Construction Code and associated legislation enable him to assist clients in achieving compliant and efficient project outcomes.

Janine – Urban & Regional Planner 
Janine has been an Urban & Regional Planner for over 20 years. She has extensive experience in development assessment from inner city to rural and has a long employment history in Local Government. Janine has numerous years’ experience as an independent member on Council Assessment Panels and has appeared many times as an expert witness in the Environment, Resources & Development Court, as well as the Magistrates Court. As our in-house Planning Certifier, Janine looks forward to assisting you with any of your planning needs and can guide you through using the PlanSA Portal, and the Planning & Design Code.
