PBS Building Certifiers is, as the wording describes, a company which offers a wide range of professional services to private individuals and the Building Construction Industry.
PBS was established in February 1994 and we’ve been non-stop since.
The primary role of PBS Building Certifiers is the Consulting, Assessment and Approval of Building Applications, more commonly known as Private Certification, however extends to include a wide range of Planning advice, inspections, building condition reports and the like where qualified diagnosis and recommendation are necessary. Particularly important where legal issues or disputes are involved.

Will – Managing Director
Will has been with PBS since 2019 and now leads the day-to-day operations of the business as Managing Director. He holds a Bachelor of Construction Management and a Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying from the University of South Australia and is an Accredited Professional Building (Level 1).
With extensive experience across residential, commercial and complex developments, Will provides practical advice to clients, builders and designers while working closely with councils and industry professionals to achieve timely and compliant outcomes. He has developed a strong understanding of South Australia’s planning and building approval processes and is committed to delivering responsive, customer-focused service.
Will is passionate about modernising the building certification industry, continually improving PBS’s systems and processes, and ensuring clients receive clear, efficient guidance from the earliest stages of their project through to completion.

Inky – Building Surveyor 
Inky has built his building surveying career with PBS and has developed extensive experience assessing a broad range of residential and commercial projects. As an Accredited Professional Building (Level 2), he has a thorough understanding of the National Construction Code and South Australian building legislation, providing practical and timely advice to clients throughout the building approval process.
Known for his approachable nature and attention to detail, Inky works closely with builders, designers and homeowners to deliver efficient, compliant outcomes. He is committed to providing responsive, customer-focused service and helping clients navigate the building certification process with confidence.

Kamil – Building Surveyor
Kamil holds a Bachelor of Construction Management and has developed extensive experience across both the private certification and local government sectors. After beginning his career with PBS, he expanded his experience through roles in local government and several respected private building surveying consultancies before returning to the PBS team. This diverse background provides him with a well-rounded understanding of South Australia’s building regulatory framework.
As an Accredited Professional Building (Level 2), Kamil undertakes a wide range of residential and commercial building assessments and is committed to delivering practical, timely, and customer-focused advice. His collaborative approach and thorough knowledge of the National Construction Code and associated legislation enable him to assist clients in achieving compliant and efficient project outcomes.

Janine – Urban & Regional Planner 
Janine is a highly experienced Urban and Regional Planner with over 20 years of experience across both metropolitan and regional South Australia. As Accredited Professional Planning (Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4), she brings extensive expertise in development assessment, planning legislation and statutory planning processes.
With a strong background in Local Government, Janine has also served extensively as an independent member of Council Assessment Panels and has appeared on numerous occasions as an expert witness before the Environment, Resources and Development Court and the Magistrates Court.
Janine provides expert advice and guidance across a broad range of planning matters, assisting clients in navigating the development assessment process, the Planning and Design Code, and the PlanSA Portal. Her wealth of knowledge and practical experience enables her to deliver informed, efficient and considered planning outcomes.

Jack – Urban & Regional Planner
Jack holds a Bachelor of Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Adelaide and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of South Australia. As an Accredited Professional Planning (Level 4), Jack combines his academic qualifications with practical industry experience to provide informed and considered planning advice. He is committed to delivering high-quality planning outcomes, guiding clients through the development assessment process, and continuing to expand his professional knowledge and expertise.
Brandon – Cadet Building Surveyor
Brandon has gained his Bachelors Degree in Construction Management through the University of South Australia and is currently building up experience to become an Accredited Professional. Brandon knows the basics of the National Construction Code and relevant legislation and aims to assist you as best he can.
