PBS Building Certifiers is, as the wording describes, a company which offers a wide range of professional services to private individuals and the Building Construction Industry.

PBS was established in February 1994 and we’ve been non-stop since.

The primary role of PBS Building Certifiers is the Consulting, Assessment and Approval of Building Applications, more commonly known as Private Certification, however extends to include a wide range of Planning advice, inspections, building condition reports and the like where qualified diagnosis and recommendation are necessary. Particularly important where legal issues or disputes are involved.

Grant – Director

Grant has been in the building industry for 40+ years, with over 30 directly involved in Building Surveying. Grant is well known in the industry and has been on numerous legislative and technical Committees. When it comes to buildings and construction, Grant’s knowledge is extensive and he consults with several regional councils.

Will – Director

Will is a bright, enthusiastic young man with a sound knowledge of the building development process. He has completed his Bachelors Degree in Construction Management and is an accredited Level 3 Building Surveyor. Will looks forward to assisting you with any of your building needs and can guide you through using the PlanSA Portal.

 

Inky – Building Surveyor

Inky has completed his Bachelors Degree in Construction Management and is an accredited Level 2 Building Surveyor. Inky achieved the highest aggregate in Construction Management courses in his Honours Year and he aims to become the first Chinese Level 1 Building Surveyor in South Australia under the PDI Act 2016. Inky knows the new ePlanning System in South Australia like the back of his hand and looks forward to assisting you.

 

Janine – Urban & Regional Planner

Janine has been an Urban & Regional Planner for over 20 years. She has extensive experience in development assessment from inner city to rural and has a long employment history in Local Government. Janine has numerous years’ experience as an independent member on Council Assessment Panels and has appeared many times as an expert witness in the Environment, Resources & Development Court, as well as the Magistrates Court. As our in-house Planning Certifier, Janine looks forward to assisting you with any of your planning needs and can guide you through using the PlanSA Portal, and the Planning & Design Code.

 

Parham – Cadet Building Surveyor

Parham has gained his Bachelors Degree in Construction Management through UniSA and is currently building up experience to become an Accredited Professional. Parham knows the basics of the National Construction Code and relevant legislation and aims to assist you as best he can.

 

Brandon – Cadet Building Surveyor

Brandon has gained his Bachelors Degree in Construction Management through UniSA and is currently building up experience to become an Accredited Professional. Brandon knows the basics of the National Construction Code and relevant legislation and aims to assist you as best he can.

 

Deb – Accounts Manager

Deb is the Office and Accounts Manager; she is able to assist with any queries you may have including any invoices and payments. Prompt payments equals prompt submission of your applications.

Brenda – Administration Assistant

Brenda is in admin and is responsible for all the behind-the scenes lodgement and administration work.
