PBS Building Certifiers is, as the wording describes, a company which offers a wide range of professional services to private individuals and the Building Construction Industry.
PBS was established in February 1994 and we’ve been non-stop since.
The primary role of PBS Building Certifiers is the Consulting, Assessment and Approval of Building Applications, more commonly known as Private Certification, however extends to include a wide range of Planning advice, inspections, building condition reports and the like where qualified diagnosis and recommendation are necessary. Particularly important where legal issues or disputes are involved.

Will – Managing Director
Will plays a key role in keeping operations at PBS running smoothly. He has over six years of experience as a building certifier and holds a Bachelor of Construction Management as well as a Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying from the University of South Australia. Will is also an accredited Level 1 Building Surveyor. With extensive knowledge of building regulations, he regularly consults with regional councils and provides expert guidance across a wide range of building matters. Grant – Building Surveyor
Grant brings more than 40 years of experience in the building industry, including over 30 years dedicated to Building Surveying. He is widely respected in the field and has contributed his expertise to numerous legislative and technical committees. Grant’s knowledge of buildings and construction is extensive, making him a highly valued resource within the industry.

Inky – Building Surveyor
Inky holds a Bachelor of Construction Management and is an accredited Level 2 Building Surveyor. During his Honours year, he achieved the highest aggregate across all Construction Management courses. Inky has an exceptional understanding of South Australia’s ePlanning system and looks forward to assisting you with your building and planning needs.

Janine – Urban & Regional Planner
Janine has been an Urban & Regional Planner for over 20 years. She has extensive experience in development assessment from inner city to rural and has a long employment history in Local Government. Janine has numerous years’ experience as an independent member on Council Assessment Panels and has appeared many times as an expert witness in the Environment, Resources & Development Court, as well as the Magistrates Court. As our in-house Planning Certifier, Janine looks forward to assisting you with any of your planning needs and can guide you through using the PlanSA Portal, and the Planning & Design Code.
